Weak batteries just seem to be attracted to my remotes, or maybe its the other way around. No matter what I feel like I am always changing them out. With this nice device I can test the batteries before I put them in and pitch them if they are not strong enough. I tested your normal batteries and some 9 volts, I don't have anything currently that uses the button looking batteries but there is a thing on here to test those also. I did receive this product in return for my honest and unbiased opinion. But it works so I'm happy.
