Dr. G. Robert (Bob) Pettit is certainly someone to admire, the struggles, successes, and setbacks are both captivating and inspiring. You will read about both the medical and possible natural sources of anticancer medications. Then to go on and establish one of the world’s leading natural products anticancer drug discovery and development programs. Then comes the death of his Cancer Research Institute at Arizona State University thanks to university politics, which is just a travesty. I can't help but wonder what would have happened had the Cancer Research Institute not shut down in 2007, how much more advanced could we be considering the success Pettit was having, already having three FDA approved drugs. This really is a great read and Pettit is an extraordinary person who certainly has accomplished more in a lifetime that easily a dozen people. Book provided for an unbiased review.
