I'm not sure if you've ever had to take a rectal temperature of an infant but it's not fun. Some thermometers take over a minute to give you a reading and that really just isn't an option sometimes. This Thermometer gives you a fast and accurate reading. This thermometer is a lifesaver and I'm not sure what I would do without this now. It's small and lightweight so it's no problem to put it in my purse or in the diaper bag. I received this product for evaluation.
