I've never had a pen light before, I never really had a need for them, I still don't, but they are really cool and I want one. These aren't to bright and when you use them you can see the light out a little bit of a distance. The batteries are replaceable which is important. They also have a nice weight to them so when I am writing or have them just set on the desk they don't create any issues. Product provided for evaluation.
