My son is always trying to "help" me while I am in the kitchen, apparent him and I have a different definition of what helping is. This set allows him to help mommy cook, and allows mommy to actually cook without him helping. The 12 piece set comes with 10 veggies, cutting board, and a knife which are all made out of a high quality plastic. So if he tries to actually eat them I can trust he will not be able to actually bite into them. The veggies can be sliced down the middle and then use the velcro to make them whole again. I do worry about how soon the velcro will become pitted and need replaced but for now we are in the clear. There is also a nice bag for carrying the veggies and board around so its simple to store and when its time to cook everything is still there. This product was provided for evaluation, my toddler loves it, I love it, I'd say its a home run product.
