I like to feed the birds and my cats like to watch the birds, so this has really been useful. What I've noticed is some birds overtake one feeder and sometimes young or old birds don't get to eat as much as they probably want. This feeder is great for all birds. I've very well made and will last for a long time. It can hold a good amount of feed as well as a handful of birds flying on and off with no issues. As for keeping those furry birds off I have no answers except maybe get a squirrel guard. But we all know how determined those critters can be. I am pleased with the quality and craftsmenship of the wood I think it will last all winter here easily with no problems. Product provided for evaluation.
